Its a valid question. My standard response? Hours of coding. Nobody actually knows what that means, but it sounds hard thus gets me the "wow-factor" im looking for. One impressed roommate = successful day.
And its true, it did take hours of coding to make this blog, I just wasn't the lucky one to have the job of doing it. I simply sat down with a box of fig newtons and a tootsie pop, signed into my Gmail account, clicked a few buttons and wha-la. We have a blog. In the spirit of full disclosure, however, I must say that signing into my account proved harder than it should have been; apparently people have been hacking into Gmail accounts, so I got a notice that I had to change my password a couple months ago. No problem, right? Well, I have a few go-to passwords for different accounts, but none of them fit the new requirements for the number of digits, letters and numbers that this one needed, so I had to make a new one up. And seeing as I have my computer "remember me", ive never actually needed to type the new password in except when I first made it up and now. Following some hushed obscenities and utter bewilderment at my inability to log in, I did in fact remember it and am now dismissing the whole situation as a mere speed-bump in the adventure that will be this blog.
So, ladies and gentleman, Mr. President (if you are reading this), I truly hope I can earn a spot on your Bookmarks Bar in good time. Until then, I bid you good day and heres to hoping your lucky number comes up in your next fortune cookie. Or scratch ticket.
